I believe yes , assuming that this might be an individual starting to moult into winter plumage

Thank you Bassel. This bird was only one with a grey back in the flock of hundreds brownish-backed phalaropes. I was surprised to see it on my pictures. And I wondered whether it could be a red phalarope. But red phalaropes should be obviously bigger then red-neckeds.

Yes Ilya . you are right . Alse red phalarope has a different uppertail and uppertail coverts pattern .
