Almaty. Dendropark.

I was going to explore the buckthorn thickets in Ozernoe gorge, but without waiting for the bus, went to the Dendropark. Weather was overcast, snowfall was almost all day. Several times I watched Red-fronted Serins feeding on birches. In flocks of Serins twice I watched Siskins, once Grey-headed Goldfinch, and once Great Tit. I expected to see Mistle Thrush and Pheasants; and watched both Mistle Thrush (1 bird) and Pheasants (1 male, 5 hens), which were feeding under the acacia tree. I also saw Magpies, Carrion Crows, and one Eastern Buzzard.
