Kimasar gorge. Ile-Alatau National Park.

Very sunny but not so warm day. Today from the fifth attempt I photographed the Three-toed Woodpecker. I stayed on the place when I heard Woodpecker last times, put in the records of drumming and sounds; and Woodpecker came flying and perched on the dry spruce-tree. Woodpecker didn't drum but checked the nest-hole and hid in the next spruce-tree. It flew off from the spruce-tree two more times then flew out to the opposite slope of the gorge where my records probably were not hearable. In addition to Woodpecker I twice watched Treecreepers, one bird at the entrance to gorge and another one in the spruce forest. Once I saw Coal Tit and once heard its song; once I heard the White-winged Grosbeak; once the pair of Grey-headed Goldfinches flew by; one female Blackbird foraged under the spruce-tree, and saw many Magpies and Carrion Crows of course.
