Almaty. Republic Square.

New Square (Republic Square) in Alma-Ata is one of my favourite places. There are not so much parks, squares in my city where it would be possible to observe birds. The Republic Square was one of few places where it was possible to see still someone birds except for sparrows and crows. Now construction has begun here. I do not know will birds use this place on migration paths. Now base migration hasn't begin and I today I saw only habitual winter birds – Great Tits, Blackbirds, one Goldcrest, Bramblings, White-winged Grosbeaks. Had a glimpse of a small greyish bird with the expressed light supercillium probably one of Accentors.
