Some last days the weather in the city is murky. All along it is light snows. In the city mynahs and doves became inconspicuous. Rooks, Blackbirds and of course Great Tits were occurred. Today some times saw flocks of Chaffinches. Chaffinches were occurred in the popular places but took no notice of people. People also took no notice of Chaffinches. While firstly there are Chaffinches in Alma Ata on winter only. Secondly Chaffinches are very beauty and bright colored birds.
On the birch I espied a little bird. While the weather was murky but I saw that it was uncommon bird. Bird's flight was more smooth than Tit's one. And tail was longer than Sparrow's one. When I closed to birch I qualified bird as Common Whitethroat. After a little time the second Whitethroat showed. Whitethroats fed on the birches. Such as Tits they ate birch's catkins. It is interesting whether there was a case of Whitethroats wintering in Alma Ata.
All around near junipers and firs Goldcrests' cheeps were audible. Sometimes it is visible as little birds flew from tree to tree. But Goldcrests feed among the branches they seldom look out outside. To photograph birds it is very difficult. Besides cloudy weather did not allow to make a sharp photo.
Among Goldcrest's and Tit's cheeps I hear uncommon for winter time sounds. I stocked and saw Warbler among juniper's btanches. To look attentive and to make good photos it wasn't succeed. But I think it was Common Chiffchaff. Another case of uncommon wintering migrant bird.
Sparrowhawk sat on juniper's branch. It was impossible to see it from the front and I made photos from the back. After one and a half hour I was back on same place. Sparrowhawk didn't chage th pose. It was light snows. Sparrowhawk just a little moved, rotated the head, cleared feathers but after some minutes stayed. I didn't wait the pose changing and went to home.
